In my work, I attempt to clarify the optimism of the universe — the beautiful, fulfilling nature of existence and the joy of humankind granted the gift of a bountiful, god-smacked eternity. Permeating the work is the duality of the gold material: the ancient truth of its blessed and cursed nature, a thinly gilded layer, capable of highlighting the beneficial and shadowing the futile. Manifested as a golden door flickering in the immense void of dark space, a precious gift from beyond is transformed by hominids into a virtual gem of earth’s productions, nothing but supreme joy and exhilaration in the expansive, ever- changing cosmos, hanging 10 on the golden door to infinity.
