Three small paintings are about to begin three very big adventures.
I am thrilled to have Emergence, Undercurrent, and Confluence included in Teeny Tiny Trifecta 9, Second Street Gallery’s annual juried exhibition and fundraiser in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Each original mixed media painting measures just 8 × 8 inches, yet carries the vibrant color, expressive marks, layered history, and sense of movement found throughout my larger abstract work.
Together, the paintings explore different moments of transformation:
Emergence celebrates the courage to rise, become visible, and allow something new to take form.
Undercurrent honors the quiet forces moving beneath the surface—the feelings, experiences, and possibilities shaping us before we can fully see them.
Confluence captures the moment separate currents meet, creating energy and possibility that could not exist alone.
The exhibition brings together 609 original artworks by 203 artists, with every piece priced at $125. I love that Teeny Tiny Trifecta makes collecting original contemporary art feel joyful, welcoming, and possible—whether this will be your first original painting or the newest addition to a growing collection.
I will attend the public opening during Charlottesville’s First Fridays celebration on Friday, September 4, from 5:00–7:30 p.m. The exhibition continues through September 25 at Second Street Gallery.
If one of these little paintings speaks to you, arrive early—each work is one of a kind, and I would be absolutely delighted to see it begin its next chapter in your home. 🩵
