Open Circuit explores the artist as both vessel and participant within the creative act—an evolving system of responsiveness, intuition, movement, and emergence. Created through an intuitive call-and-response process, the painting developed organically through layered acrylic washes, gestural mark-making, translucent passages, energetic linework, and moments of interruption, redirection, and discovery.
Bold indigo pathways weave through atmospheric fields of teal, aqua, fluorescent pink, and luminous yellow, evoking systems of transmission, interconnected flow, and energetic circuitry. Rounded forms and shifting structures suggest routes of perception and communication, while transparent layers allow traces of earlier decisions and unseen histories to remain visible beneath the surface. Rather than resolving into certainty, the composition remains open—alive with possibility, movement, and potential connection.
Balancing structure with spontaneity, Open Circuit reflects an ongoing exploration of intuition, creative receptivity, and the unseen forces that shape both artistic process and human experience.
