SLAC - The Future 15 year Anniversary 2024
Started November 2, 2024
Paul Henry's Art Gallery
Celebrate 15 years of creativity, community, and camaraderie with the South Lake Artists' Co-op (SLAC) as we look toward "The Future!" Join us for an unforgettable day filled with art, live music, and exciting activities at Paul Henry’s Art Gallery. Since its founding, SLAC has been a cornerstone of the local arts community, fostering collaboration and inspiring artists and art lovers alike. This milestone anniversary exhibition will showcase diverse works by SLAC members, each exploring visions of tomorrow.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, from 2 PM to 8 PM at Paul Henry’s Art Gallery, located at 416 Sibley St., Hammond, IN 46320. Admission is free and open to the public. The gallery doors open at 2 PM, and guests are invited to explore the "Future" exhibition, featuring 27 SLAC artists who offer unique perspectives on what the future holds.
Adding to the excitement, Clinton Mason, aka Doctor C, will perform live music, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day. Guests can also join in a collaborative painting project, contributing their creativity to commemorate this special occasion.
At 7 PM, we will hold an Awards Ceremony where the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place artists will be announced, each receiving a cash prize.
A raffle drawing will also take place during the ceremony, and raffle tickets will be available for purchase at $5 each. Proceeds from ticket sales will help cover show expenses and support artists in Asheville, North Carolina, who were impacted by recent hurricane flooding. 💜
Join us to honor 15 years of SLAC’s journey and envision the future of art in our community. Come for the art, stay for the music, and celebrate with friends—old and new! ✨
For more information, please contact SLAC at slacartists@gmail.com or call (219) 365-0871.

SLAC-Change! 2025
Started February 22, 2025
Wildrose Brewing Company
Everywhere one looks, things change. For better or worse. Certain things can be manipulated to change in certain ways to possibly help with a more favorable outcome. Other things cannot. The world, and everything around us, changes for a reason. Be it the seasons of the year, a child getting older, rust encroaching on a vintage automobile, or who you love, CHANGE happens. As it should.
SLAC wants to see what your idea of CHANGE is, how it affects you in a personal way. Show us how you can, cannot, or don't even want to, CHANGE.
DAVe - Sum of All Fears 2025
Started March 8, 2025
Harbor Works
Whatever this may be, come see what how our DAVe artists have interpreted FEARS in the Present and the Future.
This show opens March 8th at Harbor Works in East Chicago, a gallery owned and operated by Thomas Frank.
**This is a collection of artworks that may cause some to have a negative reaction. The entire purpose of this show is to do just that - invoke a response. Either positive or negative. If you are someone who might be easily offended, in any way possible, please consider not attending. Again, the entire mindset behind this exhibit is to invoke an internal reaction. Either one way or another.

SLAC - Rhythm 2025
Started September 19, 2025
Sip Coffee House & Artisan Cafe
SIP COFFEE HOUSE - CROWN POINT
From the beat of a drum to the pulse of a city, Rhythm is everywhere. This show invites artists to explore rhythm in all its forms—visual patterns, movement, repetition, music, and the unseen tempo of our everyday life. 🎶
Find a visual or auditory pattern created by repetition of all forms, shapes, elements, colors, contrasts, sounds, movements, you name it. And MAKE it!
Try dancing while making your piece! Let the flow of the rhythm move you to make your unique creation.
What makes your heart race?
What keeps your brush moving, your camera snapping, your scissors snipping, your hands dancing across the canvas?
Maybe you're inspired by dance, music, machinery, poetry, natural cycles, or the flow and rhythms of emotions and dreams.
We want to see how you interpret this theme, and we are looking for brand new works made this year, and never exhibited before at Sip in Crown Point.
Bring the GROOVE. Bring the HEARTBEAT. 💗
We are looking for visual syncopation. This is your chance to transcribe tempo into texture!
All 2D and 3D work welcomed in all mediums as long as it can be SAFELY mounted to the wall with proper wiring! We do not have spots for any sculpture pieces unfortunately.
