Scott Johnson is a sculptor, photographer and installation artist interested in the relationship between perceptual experience and the ways we map and understand space. Johnson’s art pieces are characterized by the use of a wide range of materials from stone and wood to old maps and glass, and even wax, clay, books and binoculars.
His installations are meant to engage viewers in thought-provoking perceptual experiences. The artist describes his practice as threefold: collection, architectural intervention and experimentation.
