I am a third-generation female artist of a line of professional fine art painters of the American South, each well-schooled in the classical traditions of painting and drawing.

• Emanating from the perspective of a third-generation female artist living in the American South, a painter-printmaker, skilled in drawing (charcoal, pencil, graphite, pen/ink, pastel), painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor, & water-based media), printmaking (relief: woodcut, linocut, collagraphy; intaglio: etching, copper plate engraving; stone lithography; chine collé), photography, collage and mixed media, incorporating textiles using Sashiko thread, combined with the crafting process of paper quilling, to embellish woodcut prints.
• Currently exploring printing small compositions of colorful not-quite-perfect rectangular shapes of scrap cut linoleum, arranged to represent a modern, minimalized, streamlined, interpretation of a landscape.

• Inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach in Early Childhood Education, with a strong history as a teaching-artist, designing, and facilitating intentional opportunities for expressive creative engagement in informal settings.
