Nicole Cromwell is an artist and creative wellness educator based in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Drawing from 25 years as a critical care nurse, she creates contemporary seascapes, florals, and abstracts that reflect the grace and restorative power of the natural world. Her work is designed to bring calm, beauty, and connection to homes, healthcare environments, and wellness spaces.

She owns and curates the Nicole Cromwell Gallery in the Su Vecino Courtyard, where she exhibits her work year-round. Nicole is also the author of the ICU Diary for Families and the Hospital Wellness Journal, two guided journals that provide comfort, organization, and emotional support for patients and their loved ones during hospitalization.

In addition to her gallery work, she teaches Brave Beginner Art Course: Resilience and Wellbeing Through Creativity, an online program for nurses exploring art’s role in resilience, stress reduction, and emotional well-being. Her paintings have been featured on the cover of the Journal of Critical Care Medicine and are held in private and public collections nationwide. Whether through a vibrant coastal scene, a meditative abstract floral, or her creative wellness programs, Nicole’s work invites people to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.
