Forgotten Dream

A series of mixed media works. The series is a metaphor for fragmented memories that form unclear pictures - it is very similar to the dream we can't remember. Each work has multiple layers. The base is made of newspapers. It was a common practice in the USSR to use newspapers as a base for the wallpapers. This method was affordable, simple and helped to flatten the surface. The next layers consist of puzzle fragments you can't put into a clear image. The last sandy layer represents the passage of time. Each work is sealed with several layers of UV-protecting Matt varnish.
