My background is in science and medicine, but I've always had a love for art and photography. I've taken several art courses but am largely self-taught. I spend time looking at and learning about art and feel the influences of Aaron Siskind, Minor White, Richard Serra and Pierre Soulages. I have shown in Boston and New York, my work is in several private collections. I view artistic expression as experimentation, seeking "solutions" or "answers" to how aesthetics gets re-invented and re-defined. The creative process is one of constant re-imagining, giving voice to feelings or ideas not previously encountered or understood . I hope to expand my viewing audience by sharing my art and together discovering new ways to appreciate beauty.
