Between 2002 and 2010 I created a number of language based drawings which were always done with a specific stencil and “are collective” in that they are fragments taken from overheard conversations, something I read, current affairs, phone conversations and at times a reflection. Some of them were featured in my artist book, Strutture, published by Content Series in 2012 and available at Printed Matter in NYC.

The following series of sculptures are inspired by wrapped and protected objects where the wrapping becomes the main focus and the actual, fragile object that is protected is in fact indiscernible. Ideas of global movement of consumer goods and repatriation of artifacts and their implications are the inspiration for these new works.

A series of drawings started in 2022 that are inspired by scenes and objects I have encountered and documented over the last 20 years. Consumption, the built environment, detritus and abandon run throughout the series. I use watercolor to depict materials such as protective nets to protect fruit and packing used in shipping as well as architecture wrapped in and netting and construction materials.
