Margaret Lansink is a Dutch visual artist whose practice spans analogue and digital photography, collage, artist books, and mixed media. Her work explores transformation, memory, vulnerability, and the passage of time, examining how experiences leave their traces and shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Working across landscapes, bodily presence, and material processes, she continuously expands the possibilities of the photographic image through experimentation and tactile forms of making.

Lansink gained international recognition with Borders of Nothingness – On the Mend, for which she received the Grand Prize of the Hariban Award in 2019. That same year, The Kindness of One was selected for The Best Dutch Book Designs. In 2025, her book Unbound received the Fedrigoni Top Award. To date, she has published ten photobooks, including five handmade limited editions. Her work has been exhibited internationally across Europe, Asia, and North America, and is held in both private and public collections, including the National Art Library at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, and the art collection of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
