Martin Halpin is the founder and artist behind Mandara Furniture & Décor, a Chiang Mai–based studio crafting soulful wall art from reclaimed wood, preserved florals, and art resin. Originally from Australia, Martin has spent over two decades in Thailand, immersed in its language, craft traditions, and natural landscapes.

His journey began in furniture design and export, but over time evolved into a more expressive and intimate art practice — one that bridges sustainability, craftsmanship, and quiet storytelling. Drawing inspiration from Japanese philosophies like wabi-sabi and kintsugi, Martin’s work honors imperfection, transience, and the natural elegance of organic materials.

Each Mandara piece reflects his commitment to slow craft, environmental responsibility, and a deep reverence for nature’s forms. His work has been exhibited in galleries, luxury hotels, and design spaces, and continues to attract collectors drawn to its meditative aesthetic and meaningful process.
