Lisette Cedeno studied at the Art Institute of Boston and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from New World School of the Arts. She is also an alumna of the Dreyfoos School of the Arts. With more than 25 years of artistic experience, Cedeno has worked across a variety of disciplines including painting, mixed media, fiber arts, ceramics, and collaborative public murals throughout South Florida.

Following advanced studies at Penland School of Craft, Cedeno developed a distinctive body of ceramic work inspired by the botanical world. Her sculptural vessels, which she describes as Botanical Relics, draw from the intricate structures of flowers, seed pods, and foliage, preserving moments within nature's cycle of growth, transformation, and decay. Through hand-built clay forms, layered textures, and organic patterns, she creates works that blur the boundary between functional object and sculptural expression. Her Elegant Blooms collection celebrates both the fragility and resilience of nature, transforming fleeting botanical forms into enduring ceramic vessels that honor memory, beauty, and the passage of time.
