Whisper Remains was created after the struggle of making Before It Clears. I realized why that painting fought me so hard, and here I wanted a softer transition, a different flow, and a quieter color palette. By accident I added a color I thought was ugly, but instead of covering it, I kept it and it became the foundation for the entire painting.
