It is my intention to create work that allows us to stay connected with the places we see and experience everyday. Architecture in our environment, and the beauty of nature, serve as constant reminders of the intricate relationship between humanity and the world around us.  

The dramatic play of light and shadow cast on a building façade, or the late afternoon sun that presents itself along a tree-lined street can transform something seemingly ordinary, into a uniquely memorable experience.  

My paintings allow people the opportunity to identify with or reflect upon a moment in time; of places familiar, or that no longer exist, thus eliciting an emotional response.  My style is representational yet painterly, with vibrant, exaggerated color making way for light and shadow to reveal the character behind the subject matter.
