D| Surrender to it...

My work consists of, but not all containing, found objects, image transfers, layer upon layer of wax, the inscribing and carving of the wax itself. The dance with the molten wax back and forth embarks me on a journey to the mystery of the 'not knowing'. While working I keep myself in a fluid balance between meditation and examination until a satisfying equilibrium is reached. Not knowing when the piece is done until it is worked and reworked when that journey is complete. The hands-on labor and the intensive process leaves me with pieces that have many layers of mystery and metaphor, with my aim to create a calm core within disarray.
