I create bold, medium and large scale abstract paintings, typically using acrylic paint on cotton canvas. My large, dramatic marks give way to unique close-up details. I employ high-contrasting values and energetic movement. My work reflects an ongoing commitment to experimentation and growth.

Happiness, freedom, and courage are recurring themes in my work. I am interested in the courage it takes to move beyond the familiar and take risks. I also think about how to depict the mystery of our inner lives vs. what we show the world. I hope my paintings offer a bracing sense of strength and possibility.
