Contemporary Artist Leslie Miller
Leslie Miller is a contemporary oil and cold wax painter whose work explores layered narratives of memory, intuition, and inner life.
Painting in oils since 2014, Miller works intuitively, allowing each piece to evolve through multiple layers of mark-making, transparency, and opacity—an approach that mirrors the way people are shaped by experience, influence, and time. Cold wax allows her to build surfaces that hold depth, restraint, and quiet connection, creating what cannot be achieved in a single pass.
Miller’s work is held in private collections throughout the United States and has been exhibited widely in Arizona. She is represented by Newby Gallery in Tubac, Arizona, and in 2016 received the Master Meed Award by popular vote from the Tubac Center of the Arts.
Born in California and raised in East Tennessee, Miller now lives and works in Tubac, Arizona. She began her fine art education through independent study in 2014 and continues to learn through ongoing studio practice and engagement with other accomplished artists.
Formerly the founding director of the Tubac School of Fine Art, the adult education division of the Tubac Center of the Arts, Miller continues to teach workshops both in person and online.
