Kim Chigi is a Northern California-based abstract painter whose work translates atmosphere, memory, and the emotional resonance of color into layered compositions that balance intention with chance. Working through an improvisational process of layering, gesture, and restraint, she creates paintings that invite moments of reflection and quiet tension.

Her work has been featured in regional juried exhibitions, open studios, and publications, including Art and Color 365 Magazine's 2025 Abstract & Semi-Abstract Competition (2nd Place), Art Trails Sonoma County, and the Sausalito Center for the Arts SCA Open. Rooted in process, her practice investigates the space between what is remembered and what is felt, allowing color, texture, and rhythm to reveal the intangible.
