Kevin Starr grew up in a small mill town embedded in red clay earth, stamped with heavy red brick buildings harboring large many paned windows strewn with cotton fibers, in North Carolina. He started playing piano at age 7 through college, winning a full scholarship to the prestigious summer camp - Eastern Music Festival, at 16. His path diverted after college to a different form of creativity: hairstyling and barbering. After moving to Savannah, GA - his second home, he went on to open his own successful business. He learned the art of photography to capture his creative abilities in hairstyling and makeup, getting published in local, national, and international magazines. His photography quickly became another art form he pursued, followed by painting and mixed media sculptures and wall reliefs. He continues to play classical piano.
