The paintings in Confluence are about living with complexity. I love those moments when things that seem unrelated suddenly belong together. In these paintings, color, line, and shape gradually find a common language—not by becoming the same, but by discovering how to live in relationship with one another.

The New Normal is a series of ten abstract paintings created in January, February, and March of 2026 during a major transition in my life.

These works came out of a period of grief, change, uncertainty, and adjustment. Painting helped me process emotions that were often hard to put into words. Some pieces feel tense or unsettled, while others reflect moments of balance, energy, and forward movement.

Working intuitively with acrylic and mixed media, I used color, texture, layering, and mark-making to respond honestly to what I was experiencing at the time. Together, the paintings document a personal transition and the gradual process of finding my footing in a new normal.
