Marking Time is an eleven week investigation into belonging in an unknown and new type of world that is not at all familiar.
Carter posed the question: How do we stay sane in a world of lockdowns and quarantine that we have no apparent control over?
This collection of works is her response as she gained a sense of calmness through watching nature, the passing of storms across the sky and sea, and the intersection of sky and sea at the horizon, providing a unique observational opportunity that she quotes “has been visually and experientially incredible”.
