In AFTERGLOW, the boundary between the internal self and the external world is a vibrant, electric threshold. At a commanding five-foot scale, the iconic heart-shaped lenses serve as a deliberate silhouette—a cool, dark barrier intended to shield the subject’s interiority. Yet, the high-voltage neon linework and rhythmic textures suggest an energy that refuses to be contained.

The work explores the residual light of the spirit; even behind the dark glass of our defenses, a radiant, emotional hum persists. It is a study of the transparency of our armor. Through fractured colors and deep shadows, AFTERGLOW captures the moment when the mask begins to vibrate with the raw, irrepressible light of the person beneath it. It reminds us that even when we retreat into the shadows, our truest essence leaves a luminous, undeniable trail.
