bio
Kate DeOssie specializes in fun + fine art for design: work that blends the technical rigor and sophistication of fine art with a playful, subversive, or irreverent spirit. Her practice is centered around the relationship between structure and play - ‘high end with a wink’ - and she creates with an eye toward design for art that activates, anchors, and elevates design-forward spaces.
Kate has an intentionally expansive stylistic range with a portfolio as nuanced and diverse as the modern collector. She moves fluidly between a minimalist aesthetic that offers compositional quietude, a pop-art edge that makes a bold statement, and effusive, color-rich experiences that capture the essence of a moment.
Kate received her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art from Brown University, and works full-time from her dedicated studio in New Jersey.
