BIOGRAPHY
Kat Evans’ vibrant, large-scale paintings are a celebration of the expressive possibilities of color. Inspired by Josef Albers and the Color Field Movement, Kat (Katherine) Evans creates vibrant paintings with luminous hues and raucous color. Using bold brush strokes and often collage effects, she masterfully explores the interplay of color and texture to evoke an emotional response in each composition. Evans’ bold and compelling Color Field paintings have clearly struck a chord among collectors and galleries. Her artwork has been shown in numerous juried solo and group exhibitions; and Evans’ paintings can be found in collections throughout the U.S., Europe, Japan and Mexico.
