Julia Kaulbach is a contemporary German artist living and working in Sauve, Southern France.
Originally trained as a cabinetmaker and later as an architect, she combines craftsmanship, precision and artistic freedom in her painting and printmaking. Working in oils, watercolours and traditional etching techniques, her practice explores the relationship between structure, light and atmosphere.
Inspired by the landscapes of Southern France and guided by her philosophy From Structure to Freedom, Julia creates original works that invite viewers to slow down and rediscover the quiet beauty of everyday places. She works from her atelier and gallery in Sauve, where she welcomes visitors throughout the year.
