My work begins with observation.

Whether I am painting outdoors, working on a portrait, or creating an etching, I am less interested in documenting a place than in capturing the feeling of being present within it. Light, atmosphere and memory shape the way I experience the world, and they are at the heart of my artistic practice.

My background as a cabinetmaker and architect has profoundly influenced the way I work. Structure is not something I try to escape—it is the foundation from which freedom emerges. This idea, expressed in my personal philosophy From Structure to Freedom, guides every stage of my creative process.

Working primarily in oils, watercolours and traditional printmaking, I seek a balance between precision and spontaneity, craftsmanship and intuition. Each work becomes an invitation to pause, look closely and reconnect with the quiet poetry found in ordinary moments.

Rather than simply depicting a landscape or a person, I hope to create images that continue to resonate long after the first glance.
