Drawing inspiration from the lines and curves of the male physique, “Contours” takes you on a journey through a captivating collection of artworks showcasing fresh representations of the male form. With a keen eye for details and a deep understanding of the male anatomy, John Velo brings these forms to life using ink, watercolor, charcoal, and graphite. From the intricacies of facial contours to the raw masculinity conveyed in nude torsos and whole-body renderings, John captures the essence of the male physique with unwavering dedication. This collection delves into the nuanced exploration of masculinity, embracing diverse expressions and fresh representations of the male form. As with John’s growing body of work, “Contours” is a celebration of power and vulnerability, strength and sensitivity, that make up the rich tapestry of the male form.
