John is a contemporary abstract sculptor working with steel, wood and found objects. His work is collected nationally, and he exhibits throughout the United States and through public arts projects. He has been a guest instructor at the University of Colorado, Denver, as well as elementary and middle schools. His studio and sculpture garden are in Granby, CO.

John was born in rural Indiana, raised by depression era parents who valued simplicity and function, something he tries to continue to value today. As a young man John began his creative work in photography, later moving to his sculpture practice. John travelled the world, mostly Asia and the Pacific realizing that beauty was not limited to any single culture, geography or religion, with similarities in most every culture. He settled in Hawaii for a time before moving to Denver.

John currently resides in Granby, CO, with his wife Lynn and his faithful German Shepherd shop dog, Chloe.
