Artist statement
Joy Along the Way is a celebration of the beauty found not only in life’s destinations, but in the moments that shape us as we move forward.
Through vibrant colors, layered textures and intersecting forms, the painting reflects the many experiences that become part of our journey—the unexpected turns, the people we meet, the challenges that strengthen us and the simple moments of happiness that appear when we least expect them.
Each square represents a fragment of life, distinct yet connected to the whole. Together, they remind us that joy does not always arrive through one extraordinary event. More often, it is discovered gradually—in small victories, meaningful connections and the courage to keep moving forward.
Joy Along the Way invites us to remain open to those moments and to recognize that even when the path is uncertain, there is always color, beauty and happiness waiting to be found along the way.
