Jody Ghani Nordby is a visual artist currently based in Denmark. Her paintings feature textural, geometric abstracted figures that delve into themes of motherhood, slowness, and connection. Influenced by her personal experiences of moving abroad and becoming a mother, she explores how these life changes shape our identity.

Working in oil and acrylics, she is fascinated by how painting allows us to reach in and observe, and how the by-product in return becomes something that can then reach out and connect. 

Jody holds a BA in Character Animation as well as an MSc Eng in Acoustics. Born in 1980 in the UK, she now lives and works in Viborg, Denmark.
