These paintings celebrate all love. The story of Adam and Eve is often used to restrict consensual love to a man and a woman, with the snake representing temptation and the fruit our fall from grace. In this series I turn the story into universal acceptance of all love. The figures in my paintings are androgynous so that the view can see whatever kind of love they want to see. I am using the eastern tradition of the snake representing divine knowledge and the apple, enlightenment so that we can accept the Earth was made for all lovers!
