Charlotte artist Jean Rupprecht paints both Plein Air and in the studio. Since childhood, her love of painting and drawing has given her the foundation needed to pursue her passion for oil painting. Whether traveling or at home in beautiful North Carolina, where she lives with her husband, her Bichon and her Old Cat, she pursues art full time.  

Jean's love of color is easily seen infusing everything she paints. No subject is too mundane as she looks for the unique beauty in the everyday world around her. Her impressionistic landscapes evoke a feeling of place and her florals are vibrant and joyful. Jean looks to each subject to capture it's essence and translates it into her own vivid interpretation for the viewer.
