Anti-Studies in Local Topology
Jason Breeden will display a selection of drawings at the Sprint/Baker Gallery at the White Salmon Library for the month of June. They were realized on paper that was left by a previous tenant of his domicile, and subsequently given to him by his very nice landlord.
After a hiatus from image making it served as a palimpsest for the re-conceiving, reimagining and rediscovering of this first and most primal activity. Ideally displayed out of context, it may beg the question of there ever being one, as well as possibly querying the nature of our roles in arbitrary geographical environments, as if our thoughts and toils were the flotsam washed up on the shores after a storm.
The drawings will only be referred to by number, however, an empty book will be provided for any and all interested guests to suggest their own titles for each piece.
Opening reception is June 5th at 6pm.
