"Through my earliest years as an art student, I have been fascinated by the clean power of the line. Because of its one-dimensional nature, the line can weave easily in two dimensions and three. As a result, the artworks I make can be called many things: two-dimensional drawings, paintings, drawings in space, three-dimensional anamorphic installations, conceptual installations, and so on. However, rather than being an artist that works cross-media or cross-discipline, I am just an artist who loves the line and follows it where it takes me. 

In many ways, a line is like a thought. Simple, clean, suggestive. Over time, our thoughts build and weave nets, webs, around us through which we peer through and understand the world. These lines of ours can form images or take the form of words. Either way, these thoughts accumulate and define our reality, just as lines, when amassed, give the convincing illusion of form.

These paintings have accompanied me through the years as mirrors, reflecting, changing, and evolving together with me. While my definition of “line” has branched out from drawing into text, writing, and space, the love affair remains the same: an engagement with the unanswerable mystery of the line."
