My background? A first generation Swede, I learned knitting, embroidery and sewing from my mother. Working with my hands has been part of me since I was a little girl. But for many years, teaching and performing music and family took a lion’s share of my time. Painting was put on hold.

In 2018 my wife, son and I moved to Puerto Armuelles, Panama, and I felt the luxury of time and the peace of living on a beautiful stretch of secluded oceanfront. For 7 years I dove into the study of art, beginning with a constructivist drawing course online. I began a pet portrait business, selling at a local market in Boquete. From there I delved into abstract art and collage. A life-long student I studied: acrylic mediums and techniques, collage, recycled art methods, assemblage, and several composition courses. I created, in essence, my own tailor-made Masters in Art through distance learning.

Today I live and work in Santa Fe, New Mexico with my wife, Melinda, and our two poodles and 2 cats. We enjoy exploring the many trails in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Pecos Wilderness and the Carson National Forest.
