I am an oil painter with a propensity toward loosely painted landscapes and florals. I am deeply moved by the way light, atmosphere, and reflection affect my subject matter, but color is my true inspiration.

Though my paintings are almost always rooted in the ordinary, my intent is to evoke an emotional connection through exaggerated and unexpected color relationships. Oil paint allows me to build layers of luminous color shifts and expressive brushwork, amplifying the energy and presence of my subjects.

I am interested in reimagining rather than reproducing and seek a balance between what I see and what I feel. My paintings are an exploration of the familiar through the lens of color, emotion, and originality.
