Helga Renders is a Belgian visual artist working in painting and sculpture. Her art grows from an intuitive process in which technique and instinct come together, allowing an image or form to develop from something first felt rather than fully planned.
At the heart of her work are transformation, freedom, wonder and the quiet strength found within vulnerability. Colour plays an essential role in her visual language, alongside flowing forms, layered surfaces and subtle shifts between light and shadow. Figurative elements often meet more abstract gestures, creating a dreamlike space where reality, memory and imagination can exist side by side.
Helga began painting as a self-taught artist and continues to develop her practice through ongoing studies in oil painting and mixed media. Alongside this, she completed six years of formal training in sculpture at the Academy in Herentals, graduating in 2025. As her work continues to evolve, she is interested in exploring how painting and sculpture might begin to influence and connect with one another.
Her paintings and sculptures have been presented in exhibitions in Belgium and abroad and are held in private collections. Helga creates work that can be experienced on a personal level, leaving room for individual memories, feelings and imagination.
