Maleta Forsberg has earned a reputation for watercolors, oils, and acrylics of rural landscapes, animals, and architecture in the Midwest. Some of her pieces are inspired by her extensive travel, especially in Europe. Her work is part of permanent public, private, and corporate collections in the US and abroad. Her studio is southeast of Lindsborg at the Olive Springs Schoolhouse, built in 1885 and renovated in the mid-1970s. It is furnished with antiques of the period and documents from the schoolhouse.
