Diane Engle was born in rural western Oklahoma and developed an artistic eye through natural observation. Initially drawn to photography, Diane pulls inspiration from the environment around her, particularly the countrysides of Western Kansas. As a child, Diane partook in athletics, foregoing early artistic education until she began working at Barton Community College. It was there that she studied under Steve Dudek and drew inspiration from fellow Kansas artist Robert joy. Engle's work continues to be displayed in various galleries across the state of Kansas.
