Charles Rogers was born in 1911 in Great Bend. He studied at the National Academy of Art and Design, Bethany College, the California College of Arts & Crafts, and the Jay Connoway School of Art. He served as a professor for Bethany College for six years and served as the head chair of Kansas Wesleyan University's art program.
