A radiant peacock unfurls life as spectacle — a fusion of pattern, color, and evolutionary display

Cross-eyed happiness, 2024

Acrylic on canvas

80 x 100 cm

A peacock fills the composition with an extravagant display of patterned feathers and watchful, eye-like forms. Yet its slightly comic expression disrupts any expectation of conventional elegance. Splendor and awkwardness coexist, giving the bird an individuality that feels entirely its own.
