I came across this passage while reading "The Wild Edge of Sorrow" by Francis Weller. In this book, which was speaking to me on every page, the poem "Coleman's Bed" bu David Whyte was quoted. I paused on the line, "Apprentice yourself to yourself..." for a long time. So much of what had been hidden below the surface of my life was called up and invited into the light in that moment.
