About the artist

Gerald Burch

Gerald Burch earned his BA in Fine Art from Albany State College, exhibiting in numerous shows and juried art competitions in Albany and McRae, GA. Since his relocation to Atlanta, he has shown in solo and group exhibitions throughout Atlanta and North GA.

Artist Statement
I truly believe that it is the inherent obligation of an artist to speak to the everyday concerns that all human beings face in this tumultuous and diverse world in which we live. My work is not necessarily pretty, generic or commonplace. I have come to reject the contemporary urges for stylistic obedience, social correctness and peer driven conformity, and replace it with an overwhelming desire to share as many things as possible about our human condition, in as many ways as the different mediums will allow.
