Established in 1974, the Waimea Arts Council is the oldest arts organization in the northern area of the Island of Hawaii. Dedicated to promoting the arts, supporting artists, and fostering community engagement through art-related events, the council operates as a volunteer-driven non-profit organization. Housed within Kamuela's historic fire station and firemen’s bunkhouse, the council's mission is sustained by the contributions of artist members and donations from the public.
