My work is an exploration of memory, place, and connection. I paint intuitively, allowing each piece to unfold through layers, much like the way stories, emotions, and ancestry reveal themselves over time.

Growing up in Aotearoa with New Zealand / Pacific Island roots, I was shaped by untamed landscapes, strong family ties, and a deep respect for cultural heritage. These influences continue to guide my practice. I’m drawn to the rhythms of nature, the push and pull between movement and stillness, and the quiet power of what is felt rather than spoken.

I work with transparent layers, bold marks, and softened edges, building depth slowly and intentionally. My process is both physical and reflective, each layer responding to the one beneath it, leaving traces of what came before. With over 30 years’ experience as a fashion designer, interior stylist, and design director, my creative instinct is long-held, shaped by a lifelong immersion in form, texture, colour, and spatial storytelling.

Ultimately, my paintings are invitations. They ask the viewer to pause, to feel, and to find their own sense of connection within the work, whether that be to a place remembered, a story untold, or a moment of calm in an otherwise busy world.
