Opening Code explores the relationship between fragmentation and connection. Botanical forms are disrupted and rearranged, yet their individual pieces remain recognizable as part of something larger. Through distortion, repetition, and layered imagery, the work considers identity, perception, and the idea that even when we change or become fragmented, we still carry the essence of the whole.
Part of the Floral Frequency collection, Opening Code uses digital distortion as a way of exploring identity, perception, and belonging. The shifting forms suggest that connection isn't dependent on everything remaining in its original place. We can change, move through different versions of ourselves, and be seen from entirely new perspectives—and still remain part of the same whole.
Sometimes the pieces don't need to fit perfectly to belong. They simply need to carry the frequency of where they came from.
