I make art because I believe paying attention can change the way we experience our lives.
My work is an exploration of nature, emotion, identity, healing, and connection. I move between painting, photography, collage, and mixed media, following whatever medium best captures what I’m trying to understand. Sometimes that means studying the quiet beauty of a flower. Sometimes it means layering, distorting, breaking apart, or reassembling an image until something unexpected emerges.
I’m drawn to the places where beauty and complexity coexist—the wild and the delicate, the imperfect and the whole, the visible and the unseen. Much of my work is about noticing what is already there: the small details, the fragments, the transitions, the things we might otherwise move past without seeing.
Art has become a way for me to process my own experiences and make meaning from them. I don’t believe healing is about becoming untouched by what happens to us. I think it is about learning to hold all of our pieces with curiosity and compassion.
Ultimately, I want my work to create a moment of pause. A chance to feel something, notice something, or see the familiar in a new way. If a piece makes someone stop and look a little longer, feel a little more connected, or remember something they had forgotten about themselves, then it has done what I hoped it would do.
