Botanic Code explores the relationship between the individual and the whole. Within layered, monochromatic fields of cobalt, botanical forms are separated, shifted, and rearranged—yet they remain recognizable. Even when removed from their original context, each fragment carries the visual language and energy of the whole it came from.
We are much the same. We are made up of experiences, relationships, memories, identities, and moments that come together to create something larger than any single piece. When those pieces shift, separate, or transform, they don't cease to belong. A fragment can still carry the essence of where it came from.
Part of the Floral Frequency collection, Botanic Code uses digital distortion as a way of exploring identity, perception, and belonging. The shifting forms suggest that connection isn't dependent on everything remaining in its original place. We can change, move through different versions of ourselves, and be seen from entirely new perspectives—and still remain part of the same whole.
Sometimes the pieces don't need to fit perfectly to belong. They simply need to carry the frequency of where they came from.
