Karelian tune

lino cut chiné colle

42 x 25 in (106.68 x 63.5 cm)

Evolution of a linocut matrix inspired by the essential elements of weaving on a loom. Manifold forms of nature described within the 'warp and weft pattern'. The palette and simple tree form makes reference to rug designs created by my Finnish ancestors.
