Mark Weber was born in Cleveland in 1949. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas, Weber began his professional life as a freelance painter. He was heavily inspired by classical masters like Caravaggio, Vermeer, and Rembrandt. Through college he became amazed by the complexity of subjects he drew in his biology classes. Later on, his drive for art making was influenced by a profound religious conversion to Christianity which led to greater focus on landscapes which he saw as expressions of God's majesty. In recent years his focus has been on sharing his work and educating other on its composure.
